Thanksgiving

Echo Church!!

Happy Thanksgiving week to you all, near and far! As we march ever forward into this holiday season, the days seem to be passing more quickly and coldly. I think it’s important that we wrap ourselves in some intentional slowness and gratitude. Despite the increasing viral activity and general chaos, we can pause; to be with friends, to reach out to family. Even if it’s all just digital right now, we can be thankful that we still have ways to make meaningful contact with one another. We can share meals, share stories, share life, and even to worship together.

This morning, Join us online at 11am to catch up with friends, and to share what we’re all thankful for. No matter the circumstances, I’m confident we all have much to be thankful for!

Here's what you can bring to the party:

  • Food: BYO communion—any item to eat and drink as we remember Jesus together

  • Crafts: bring paper and a drawing utensil (pen/pencil/marker/crayon) for a short activity

  • Thoughts: consider at least one thing you're grateful for and bring that thought with you

  • Children: the Echo Kids Zoom will meet from 10:30-11:00am for crafting and fun conversation. Bring some glue, scissors, coloring materials, as well as some brown and white paper to the
screen. The kids are also welcome to join us during the full-church gathering at 11:00.

Our Thanksgiving message is available below. Watch before our Friendsgiving gathering or anytime!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Join us online

With COVID infections on the rise, the staff at Echo feels it is wisest to meet virtually today for a special friendsgiving gathering.

We are working to find more ways to engage digitally with creativity and joy in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued understanding as we work through this strange time together as a church!

Gift Cards from the Heart

We’re partnering with Frederick Douglass Elementary as they reach out to the community to provide “Gift Cards from the Heart” to the families of the students at Douglass. These gift cards will provide for pressing physical needs as well as any other needs during the holiday season.

Please join us in this effort to serve our community in a covid-safe way! See flyer for details. Digital cards can be emailed toShanté or coordinate with her for physical card drop-off.
