Louder Than Words | Persecuted
Friends,
We’ve had an interesting week as a country, haven’t we?
Waiting and watching and wondering what the future holds.
And now we know. So what’s next for us?
Our response to these election results should be the same as we pursued before the election: being active as a church community to share Jesus’ love, grace, and unity with everyone in our community. That’s not always easy. Yet it’s so very necessary.
People are hurting.
People need hope that lasts.
People need Jesus.
We all need Jesus.
Whether we’re exhausted by all the hardships of 2020 or rejoicing over the potential of what’s to come, this is not a time to pull back. It’s a time to step forward.
Now is a vital time for us to reflect Jesus and the way he lived.
A time to mourn what divides us.
A time to make peace where there has been none.
A time to pursue righteousness—together, as a community.
This is our time, Echo. Let’s actively be the church. We’ve been called.
I’m thankful that Chris Cox is finishing our Louder Than Words series this week. As both a part of Echo and one of our amazing missions partners, he offers a great perspective on living out God’s Word. Chris takes us into Jesus’ challenging words from the last Beatitude in Matthew 5:10-12.
Grace to you.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Join us online or in person outdoors
In November, some will be gathering in backyards. If you can’t make it in person, please join our weekly Zoom gathering at 11:00 a.m. Anyone is welcome to hop on and connect with others, take communion together, and discuss the morning message.
Our goal is to try and meet as a full church on November 22 for a Thanksgiving service. But with current infection rates, this may not be safe to attempt. Stay tuned & we will keep you updated.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
We are partnering again with City Gospel Mission to donate cans of peaches for their Thanksgiving Exchange. Please contribute to our goal of collecting 100 cans of peaches. You can bring cans to your backyard worship gathering this morning or bring cans to the church on November 11 from 6:30 to 7pm, or to women's small group that night.
