Psalm 12—Lament

Echo Friends,

How do we respond to the brokenness our nation is experiencing right now?

Chris Cox, one of our mission partners, brings our message this week and encourages us to lament together before the Lord over the complex, deeply rooted, overwhelming narrative of disparity and division.

Let’s lament and listen to God’s Word together.

MISSIONARY UPDATE FROM CINCINNATI

This week we checked in with one of our mission partners, Chris Cox, director of Back2Back Cincinnati.

The Back2Back Cincinnati team has been focusing on providing relief for the most vulnerable families in the city through school partnerships. Back2Back has been working with school resource coordinators to provide consistent resources to 72 families during this season.

In addition, Back2Back has worked to provide virtual tutoring and provided resources for assisting families needing internet access for their children to complete online schooling this Spring. They also provided care for three displaced families who were at risk for becoming separated.

Finally, Chris let us know that Back2Back has continued their efforts in coaching other organizations and individuals in how to live and work in a trauma-informed way.

When you financially support Echo Church, you join in supporting missionaries like Chris. If you know of anyone who would like to support Chris and his work at Back2Back directly or you'd like to learn more about Back2Back, visit their website or feel free to reach out to Chris here.

ECHO KIDS

Kids,

Hello! I still very much miss seeing all your smiling faces on Sunday mornings. I hope you can enjoy singing along with this song and learn or make up some fun dance moves along the way. We rest together in the hands of a great big God who cares for us more than we could ever imagine. I pray that you would know God's love is with you wherever you may go. I pray that you would remember to show His love and kindness to everyone you meet.

Echo parents,

This song will be a familiar one to many of you, so feel free to sing along. The lyrics are included in the video. Feel free to use any hand motions you might have previously learned for it, or you could encourage your child to create their own based on the words. Have fun!

—Kendra
