Trusting an Invisible God

Echo Church!

Thanks for being with us again; and or your dedication and patience as we navigate these messy 2020 waters together. Whether at home online or in a back yard, let’s support each other as we reach out this morning. Let’s encounter God together and grow more fully into the way of Jesus.

Let’s listen. Let’s reflect, discuss, and dig in. Let’s pray.

REFLECTION

  1. Which invisible enemy (or two!) is looming largest in your life right now?

What visible resources do you turn to that bring some peace when battling this enemy? (Ex: do you research new information to learn more, do you talk things out with friends, do you give yourself permission to have fun and play video games or eat your favorite ice cream, do you nap or take walks to recharge?)

  2. How difficult do you think it was for God’s people Israel to trust in an invisible God when they faced large visible enemies?

  3. How can comparison with others cause us to fear or doubt or feel anxious? Who or what helps remind you to trust in God?

PRAYER

Let’s pray that God will keep giving us reminders:

  1. Remind us to trust in Him, even when we can’t see a solution

  2. Remind us that while current situations keep us apart, we can still turn to one another for strength

  3. Remind us that His Spirit is with us, He loves us, He cares about what we’re facing
