Do the Work | James 2
Good morning, friends!
Thanks so much for joining us again. Take some time to prepare your hearts and minds for worship and then dig in by clicking play on the fancy video machine below. For the next several weeks, our worship will also be featuring some contributions from members of our greater Echo community. This week we welcome special guest Josh Kelly!
And a special note for those who aren’t able to meet in a back yard: Consider meeting up with the Hamilton back yard at 11:00am on Zoom. We tried this last week sort of impromptu and I think it went well! We’ll hang out and catch up for a few minutes and then watch the video together and discuss!
Thanks for your awesomeness.. Let’s worship together!

REFLECTION
• Seeing just how directly one person can affect another person with COVID-19, how has this changed your life since March? What new thoughts have you pondered about how we all impact one another daily—and around the entire world?
• James said faith without action is dead. How does that blunt statement strike you? James also noted that favoritism is sin and against loving your neighbor as yourself. What is the best example you’ve seen of a church demonstrating "love your neighbor as yourself"?
• We all impact one another. We can all likely think of a time when someone’s lack of action damaged us. You don’t have to share that aloud. But consider the positive side: share a time when someone modeled the love of Jesus so strongly that simply seeing their actions challenged you to step out more boldly in your faith.
PRAYER
God, thank you for reminding us that the things we do and don’t do for our faith impacts others. Forgive us for the times we didn’t act when we could have. Open our eyes to the ways we can put our faith in action this week. Thank you for allowing us to share Jesus’ love with others. Help us encourage our Echo family to live out our faith in our actions, both individually and as a family of believers.
