Do the Work | James 4

Good morning, friends!

Thanks again for being with us! If you can’t make it to a backyard this morning, consider joining the Hamilton backyard on Zoom. It’s basically like being with us in the back yard except you miss out on any pastries we happen to have. We catch up on life, we watch the sermon together and discuss it all as one group!

If you’re strictly online worshipping this morning, take a look through this entire service post for announcements and other ways to join in with us in worship and Kingdom work!

REFLECTION

Do you have good posture?

Did your parents ever tell you to sit up straight?

Are you conscious of your physical posture throughout your day?

When you think of the words humble, submit, and come near, what postures do you visualize?

When you read Philippians 2 about Jesus’ humility, what thoughts come to mind?

How does it make you feel to serve a God who is not only powerful but humble?

PRAYER

God, thank you for demonstrating humility through Jesus. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to come near to you. Continue to help us shape our spiritual posture as a church. Amen.
